Janet L. "Peanut" Burns

Janet L. "Peanut" Burns, age 93, of Quarryville, formerly of Willow Street, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024.  She was the wife of the late Robert M. Burns for 44 years before his death on June 5, 1996.  Born in Lime Valley, she was the daughter of the late Roy M. and Margaret Herr Miller. She graduated from West Lampeter High School. In the past she had worked as a waitress at the Host Farms and Wilow Valley Restaurants.   She enjoyed Philadelphia sports teams, crocheting, playing the marimba and going to Crystal Beach Manor, MD.  She is survived by 3 children: Teri A. wife of Tommie E. Butson of Lancaster, Deborah L. wife of R. Larry Garver of Kirkwood, Michael R. husband of Karen L. Nixdorf Burns of Mt Nebo, 7 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Country View Manor, 12 Friendly Drive, Quarryville, PA 17566.
