Janet E. Mundorff

Janet E. Mundorff, age 84 of New Providence and formerly of Union County, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Hospice and Community Care in Mount Joy.  She was the wife of the late Howard J. Mundorff for 60 years before his passing on April 24, 2018.  Born in Wrightsdale, PA, she was the daughter of the late James and Hazel Caldwell Jones.  She was a member of Dover Rivers of Life Church, the former Zion United Church of Christ.  Janet worked for Conestoga View Nursing and Rehabilitation for 25 years in various positions.  She volunteered as an EMT in Union County when she lived there.  She loved gardening, going to the family cabin at the mountains, and spending time with her grandchildren and her dog Sweet Pea.   Surviving are 2 children; Cheryl McGhee of New Providence, and Howard, husband of Kimberly Mundorff of New Providence, and 3 grandchildren; Samantha, Ashley, and Joseph.  A funeral service will take place at Reynolds & Shivery Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, on Saturday, March 30th at 1 p.m.  Interment will be in the Zion United Church of Christ Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Janet's honor to Hospice and Community Care, P.O.
