Janet Trout Melanson, 89, formerly of Lincoln University, PA died July 3, 2014 in Loveland, CO.
She was the wife of Laurence Melanson.Born on May 4, 1925 in West Willow, she was the daughter of the late Harry W. and Edith E. McClune Mowrer.
Janet is survived by her children, Janie (Ted) Bogan, Jr. of Chesapeake, VA, Joseph Trout, Jr. of Memphis, TN, Joyce (Marty) Bagnall of Coatesville, Joanne Johnson of Creston, NC, John (Marcy) Melanson of Austin, TX, Paul (Sherie) Melanson of Boulder, CO, Mary (Gary) Edelmeier of Berthoud, CO; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Arlene (Maris) Trout of Quarryville, and Lois Hess of Kirkwood.
Janet was preceded in death by her first husband Joseph F. Trout, Sr. who died February 3, 2003; a sister Hilda Plastino; and 3 brothers, Warren Mowrer, Paul Mowrer, and Jim Mowrer.
Funeral services will be held at Reynolds Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 11:00AM with Pastor R. Blake Deibler officiating. Interment will follow in Georgetown United Methodist Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until the time of service.
