Janet L. "Jan" Kennell, age 89, formerly of Strasburg, PA died at Ware Presbyterian Village on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.  She was the wife of the late Richard A. Kennell.  Born in Newport, NH, she was a daughter of the late Earl Leo and Pearl Marjory Tenney Chamberlain.

A homemaker, Jan previously served on the Board of Directors and as a trainer for the Girl Scouts for 20 years in both Montana and Pennsylvania, receiving the highest award, the Thanks Badge.

She is survived by five children, Katherine Marie married to Timothy Cameron of Quarryville, Kristina Louise married to James Haley of Annapolis, MD, Shirley Ann married to Craig Koster of Waldorf, MD, Richard Arthur, Jr. married to Sherry Kennell of Millersville, MD, and John Louis Kennell of Phoenixville; 11 grandchildren; 8 grandsons; 3 granddaughters; 12 great grandchildren; three sisters, Jean Menard of Deland, FL, Joan Ashline of Hartland, VT, and Virginia Boughton of Colchester, CT; and many nieces and nephews.

Jan was preceded in death by her daughter Karen Elizabeth Stillman and a brother Leo Chamberlain and 1 Angel Baby.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.
