James Nelson Stoltzfoos, age 76 of Christiana and formerly of Gap, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at Newport Meadows Nursing and Rehab.  Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late James and Elizabeth Fisher Stoltzfoos.  He was a member of Hershey Mennonite Church.    Nelson provided transportation to the Amish community, and in his free time, he loved playing chess, bird watching and reading about history.  Surviving is his sister; Anna Mary, wife of the late Kenneth Beiler of Paradise; 4 nephews, Darrell, husband of Carolyn Beachy Beiler of London, OH, Kevin, husband of Maria Sauder Beiler of Paradise, Glen, husband of Angela Ropp Beiler of Brooklyn, NY, and Larry, husband of Karla Mullet Beiler of Gap; and 2 nieces, Carolyn, wife of Mel Lantz of Gap, and Rosita, wife of Ken Martin of New Holland.  A funeral service will take place at Mine Road Amish Mennonite Church, 5101 Mine Road, Kinzers on Friday, November 8th at 11 a.m. There will be a viewing held at the church on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in the Weavertown Amish Mennonite Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Friday following the funeral luncheon.
