James H. Mullen, 78, of Peach Bottom PA, entered his eternal glory to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 26, 2017.He was the husband of Elaine Tindall Mullen.They had celebrated 55 years of marriage.
Born in Lancaster PA, a son of the late James H. and Alice B. Hambleton Mullen.
Jim was an agricultural entrepreneur.He began his career farming with his uncle.For 29 years, Jim was employed by Agway, both in Oxford, and Quarryville.He then was employed by Ross H. Rohrer & Sons, Quarryville.Following his retirementJim continued as an agricultural advisor to the local farmers.
He was active in his church, Little Britain Presbyterian, where he sang in the choir, served on church session, and as a trustee.He was a member of the Robert Fulton Fire Company, serving as assistance chief, past vice president and president, and active on the committee of the fire company benefit sale.Jim was the treasurer of the Fulton Alumni Assoc., and also served on the Solanco Fair Board.He was currently a member of the Fulton Twp. Zoning and Hearing Board.
Jim's faith and family were paramount to him.In addition to his wife Elaine, he is survived by 4 children; Karen Keefer (Gary), Peach Bottom, Kay Brown (Bart), Kirkwood, Kandi Sharp (Chris), Quarryville, Jimmy Mullen, Peach Bottom, 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Friends are invited to attend funeral services at Little Britain Presbyterian Church, on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at 11:00 AM.Viewing will be held Wednesday evening at Reynolds Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA from 6-8:00 PM.There will be no viewing at the church on Thursday.
