James L. Kauffman, Jr., age 63, of Christiana, passed away at the Lancaster General Hospital on Friday, April 11, 2025.  He was the husband of Billie Jo Snyder Kauffman.  He was born in Lancaster, son of Wanda Henry Kauffman of Cochranville and the late James L. Kauffman.  He graduated from Octorara High School class of 1979.  In the past he was a co owner of Chester County Raceway and also owned and operated Sun Rays Electric.  He was a veteran serving in the United States Naval Construction Battalion.  He enjoyed fishing, go kart racing, motorcycles and boating. He also enjoyed following NASCAR racing and other motor sports.  Surviving besides his mother are 2 children: Tabitha S. Wallace of Atglen, Dustin husband of Jennifer Lam Kauffman of York, 2 grandsons: Sigurd James and Cole Leon Kauffman, 3 sisters: Kimberly L. wife of Dwayne Whitehead of Lititz, Pamela A. wife of Daniel J. Heidtke of Bluffton, SC, Michele L. wife of Robert Wilson of Concord, NC.
