James E. Gillenwater Sr.

James E. Gillenwater Sr., age 82 of New Holland, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. He was the husband of Brenda Lawson Gillenwater. He was born in West Virginia, son of the late Henry R. and Dorothy Lily Gillenwater. He loved God, hunting, fishing, the mountains and spending time with his family. Surviving besides his wife are 4 children: Penny wife of Neal Quickel of Quarryville, James E. Jr husband of Dianna Gillenwater of Gap, Patricia wife of Kenny McGinnis of Peach Bottom, Becky Kipp of Myerstown, 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 3 siblings: David husband of Cecelia Gillenwater of Willow Street, Dolly wife of Dewey Oberholtzer of Marietta, and Susie Sternadel of Duncan, OK. Funeral service will take place from Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana PA 17509 on Friday, September 20, 2024 at 11 am with viewing time from 10 am until time of service. Interment will follow in Limeville Methodist Cemetery.
