James R. Farmer

James R. Farmer, age 50, of Nottingham passed away at home on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. He was married to Helen Brinton Farmer for 23 years. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Carl E. And Gloria Weidman Farmer. James enjoyed bowling, participating in many leagues throughout his life with his family. He always looked forward to the Farmer family picnic. He loved Spider-Man, Comics, D&D, football, thunderstorms and enjoying fires during the summer.  He also enjoyed NASCAR just like his parents. He always looked forward to family game day at his sister's house where they would play board and card games.  James enjoyed golfing, visiting the theater, spontaneous outing dates with Helen, Diamond Dot Paintings, Legos, and was learning to crochet.  James had four 4 legged children, he loved his chihuahuas dearly. Surviving besides his wife Helen is a sister Alissa Barker of Lancaster.

A celebration of James' life will take place from Reynolds and Shivery Funeral Home, 144 East State Street Quarryville, PA 17566 on Friday May 31, 2024 at 7 p.m. There will be a viewing from 5 p.m. until the time of service.
