James W. Bowman

James W. Bowman, of Ronks, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 13, 2026. Born in Fetterville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Ivan and Mae Bowman. James was a retired dairy farmer who devoted much of his life to his land and his work. He was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church and a member of the Paradise Lions Club where he received Melvin Jones Award through his hard work and dedication. In his free time, he loved playing golf, bowling and cheering on his Philadelphia Phillies. He is survived by his loving wife, Dale Bowman; and his three sons, Daryl Bowman and his wife Donna, Don Bowman and his wife Yvonne, and Doug Bowman and his wife Michele. He is also survived by his sisters, Leane Groff (and her late husband John) and Betty High and her husband Gene; his grandchildren, Derek, Dana, Ben, Kailee, and Abbey; and his great-grandchildren, Wesley, Wyatt, Bryce, Olivia, and Koen. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brothers, Ivan Bowman and his wife Erla, and John Bowman and his wife Sandy. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A viewing will be held at Shivery Funeral Home, 3214 Lincoln Highway East, Paradise, on Thursday, July 23rd from 5 to 7 p.m. A private interment will take place in the St. John’s United Methodist Cemetery at a later date.
