J. Donald Smith

J Donald Smith passed from this life on February 4th, 2017 in his 94th year .
A lifelong resident of Oxford,PA , he proudly served as an elected constable for over forty years.He had a passion for nature, the outdoors, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his beloved dogs. Don, who many knew as "Smitty", was known as quite a wit and his sense of humor will be greatly missed.
The only son of George A. and Mabel Olmsted Smith, he is survived by his daughters, Sandra (Joseph) Bonenberger and Sharon Riley, both of Lancaster, PA, his grand children, Melissa Duncan Of Indianapolis, IN; Ryan Duncan of Lansing, Michigan; Shelah Riley and Derek Riley both Lancaster, PA, and two great grandchildren, Kendon Smith of Indianapolis, and Davis Duncan of Lansing. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Lorraine, and daughter, Suzanne Duncan. Survivors also include his step daughters, Virginia Jones, Joyce Peterson, Diane McDonough, Donna Greist and their families.
