Israel K. Smoker

Israel K. Smoker, age 98, of 44 Hartman Bridge Road, Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at home. He was the husband of the late Susie G. King Smoker who died March 14, 2014. Born in New Holland, he was the son of the late Aaron L. and Miriam Kuhns Smoker. Israel was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He is survived by 3 children: Sadie Mae wife of John K. Stoltzfus of Lancaster, Edna Marie wife of Amos N. Esh of Intercourse, John Mervin of Gordonville, husband of the late Lillian Thelma Smoker Smoker, 8 grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, numerous step-great-grandchildren, and a half-brother Harry Long of DE. He was preceded in death by his daughter Mary Ann late wife of John K. Zook husband of Susie King Zook of Dornsife, PA, and 5 siblings: Annie Riehl, Sarah Mullenax, Levi Smoker, Thomas Smoker, and Samuel Long.

Funeral service will take place at the home of Amos King, 46 Hartman Bridge Road, Lancaster, on Thursday, August 5 at 11 a.m. EST. Interment will be in Beilers Amish Cemetery. Friends may call at the late home from the time of this notice until time of service.
