Howard Bernard Steinberg, age 91, of Quarryville, PA died Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community.He and his wife Anne Edwards Steinberg were married on September 6, 1947 at Penn Hill Friends Meeting House.Born on April 11, 1923, in New York City, he was the son of the late Julius and Belle Abramowitz Steinberg.
Howard is survived by two sons Richard H. (Susan B.) Stuart and Roger T. (Barbra Riley) Steinberg; 5 grandchildren, Julie Christine Lowery, Brianna Lee Parish, Clay (Carol W.) Stuart, Andrew E. (Jayme H.) Stuart, and Kaitlin Steinberg; 5 great grandchildren, Ryan Lowery, Austin Lowery, Ethan Stuart, Chloe Stuart, Jackson Stuart.He was preceded in death by a daughter Barbara A. Parish.
Howard was a World War II veteran, serving in both the Army and Army Air Corps.
He worked for the PA Bureau of Employment Security for many years, and previously for O.A. Clark at the Lancaster Stock Yards and the US Post Office.
An avid post card collector and hobbyist, he was known as "Mr. Postcard" for the last 30 years.
Howard and Anne enjoyed many years of retirement together traveling and spending time with their family.

Funeral services will be held at Penn Hill Friends Meeting House, 2228 Robert Fulton Highway, Wakefield, PA on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 2:00PM.The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until the time of service.Kindly omit flowers.
