Howard B. Hagans

Howard B. Hagans, Jr., age 78 of Kinzers, PA, went home to meet the Lord, at his home, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, August 24, 2025.  He was the husband of Edith Thompson Hagans with whom he celebrated 56 years of marriage on June 28th.  He was born in Coatesville, son of the late Howard B. Sr., & Sarah C. Peiffer Hagans.  He was an active member of Calvary Monument Bible Church of Paradise.  He was a career welder fabricator and after retirement he drove school bus for Althouse Transportation.  Howard dedicated his life to serving the Lord in many ways, through Campsite Ministries for over 33 years and in various singing ministries. His greatest joy was traveling and singing with his children in The Hagans Family for over 34 years.  He was an devoted fan of the Phillies and the Eagles.  He was a faithful Poppy, attending all of his grandchildren's  activities and events.   Surviving besides his wife are 3 children:  Eric H. husband of Leuza Hagans of Willow Street, Shannon L. wife of Frank Heverin of Kinzers, April J. wife of Darren Chang of Exton, 7 grandchildren: Anthony Gill, Rebecca Ivers, Radyja & Rakhshanda de Lima, Nathan & Madeline Heverin and Ruby Chang, 5 great grandchildren: Sophia, Rowan, Ember, Axel & Tidus and a sister Terryl S. Eckman of Willow Street.  He was preceded in death by 2 siblings:  Carol Ann Hagans & Dale K. Regener.

Funeral service will take place from the Calvary Monument Bible Church, 1660 Mine Road, Paradise, PA, on Friday, August 29th at 11 a.m.    There will be a viewing at the church on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and again on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service.  Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Hospice and Community Care, 4075 Old Harrisburg Pike, Mount Joy, PA 17552 or Calvary Monument Bible Church, at the above address.
