Hilda D. Groff, age 81 of New Providence, passed away at her home on Friday, March 28, 2025.  She was the wife of the late Roy E. Groff, Jr., who passed away on November 3, 2024.  She was born in Lancaster, daughter of the late Samuel & Florence Weeks McCarter.  She enjoyed going to the casino, watching old Western movies, crossword puzzles, and most of all she loved spending time with her family.  Surviving are 5 children: Dale husband of Carolyn Stoltzfus of Coatesville, Carol wife of Mike McGhee of Quarryville, Debbie wife of Charlie Wertz of New Providence, Albert Stoltzfus, companion Lena of New Providence, 6 step children: Roy E. III, husband of Vicki Hollins Groff of Willow Street, Donna L. Welk, significant other of Mark Dugan of Christiana, Dee L., wife of Brian Fling of Coatesville, Terry L. Groff, significant other of Janet Scott of Downingtown, Jeff J. Groff of Lampeter, Bryan G. Groff of Philadelphia, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, 2 siblings: James husband of Ruth Weeks of Honey Brook, Barbara wife of John Frye of Ocean View, DE.  She was preceded in death by a daughter: Gail Stoltzfus and many siblings.  A private celebration of life will take place at a later date.
