Herbert A. Wambold, age 91, formerly of Gap, passed away at the Brethren Village of Lititz, on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.  He was the husband of Doris Robinson Wambold, with whom he celebrated 72 years of marriage on March 10th.  He attended Limeville United Methodist Church of Gap.  He graduated from the New Holland High School class of 1950.  Herb worked as a machinist at the Lukens Steel Company of Coatesville retiring after 30 years of service.  He was a handyman and could fix anything. He volunteered his handyman skills to Community Hospital of Lancaster for 18 years. Surviving besides his wife are 3 daughters:  Karon Shaub of Lancaster, Nancy wife of Daniel Horting of Mountville, Teresa "Tess" wife of James Hopkins of Clarksville, MD, 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by 2 siblings:  Abraham Wambold, Clara Mull, 3 half siblings:  Emma Ziegler, Jeannette Husky and Horace Seigfried.

A private graveside service will take place at the convenience of the family in the Limeville Methodist Church Cemetery.
