Herbert Ray Sheets, Sr. (Bucky) passed away peacefully at Gardens of Memory Care in Easton, PA on Wednesday, November 7, 2018.
Born June 22, 1938, he was the oldest son of the late Virgil and Virginia Caldwell Sheets. He was he husband of the late Ella Jane Sheets and was preceded in death by his only son, Herbert Ray Sheets, Jr.
Herb was a life-long resident of Peach Bottom who will be remembered as the owner/operator of Sheets' Garage for over 40 years.He will also be remembered for his dog, OJ who came to work with him every day.
He enjoyed drag racing, and watching NASCAR. His favorite thing was the time he spent in Delaware at his camper, where he would enjoy boating and fishing.
Herb is survived by two daughters, Ella Jamison of Lancaster and Barbara (Richard) Wright of Peach Bottom; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Samuel Sheets, Kenneth Sheets; and 3 sisters, Martha Jones, Glenna Taylor, and Debbie Sage.
