Henry A. Zurenda

Henry A. Zurenda, age 95 of Quarryville, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Mary Jane E. Newlin Zurenda. He was born in Coalport, PA son of the late John "Jack" and Anna Stavisky (Staivisky) Zurenda. Henry served in the United States Army. He was proud to have been emersion baptized at age 95. He enjoyed anything John Deere, fixing things, and gardening. Surviving besides his wife are 2 daughters: Sharon wife of Michael Scone of Quarryville, Deb Zurenda of Glenville, PA, and a sister, Elizabeth Brown of Cogan Station, PA. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Olga Barker and Helen Breen.

A graveside service will take place on Friday May 5th at 4 pm in Union Cemetery, 5637 Street Rd, Kirkwood, PA 17536. Pastor Blake Deibler will be officiating. There will be a time to socialize with the family following the graveside service from 5-7 pm at Wesley Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Henry's honor to the Salvation Army, give.salvationarmyusa.org .
