Obituary

Henry S. King, age 88, formerly of Parkesburg, passed away at his home in Gordonville on Sunday, January 18, 2026.  He was the husband of Anna E. Stoltzfus King for over 67 years.  Born in Gordonville, he was the son of the late Amos and Barbara Stoltzfus King.  Henry was a farmer, truck driver and was owner of Kings Sweet Corn and Produce.  He was a member of Andrews Bridge Christian Fellowship.  He enjoyed going to the mountains and winters in Florida, riding bike, playing cards, and taking care of his beloved Anna.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by 7 children: David husband of Kathy Horning King of Parkesburg, Dorothy wife of J. Michael Bontrager of Cochranville, Christ husband of Tina Beiler King of Paradise, Warren husband of Rose Angeline King of Quarryville, Wanda wife of Calvin Fisher of Gordonville, Ronald Lee King of Parkesburg, Bonnie wife of Allen DeForest of Christiana; 19 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, sister Fannie Esh of Gordonville and half-brother Aaron husband of Barbara Stoltzfus Flaud of Gap.  He was preceded in death by 3 siblings: Lizzie S. King, David King, and Rebecca Beiler.  Henry's favorite saying was "I am leaving the land of the dying and going to the land of the living".

A private traditional interment took place in the Andrews Bridge Mennonite Cemetery.  There will be a memorial service on Saturday, April 11 at Keystone Church, 6 Pequea Drive, Paradise at 3 p.m. with a time to greet the family from 2 p.m. until time of service.
