Helen Ann McCummings, 72, formerly of Wakefield, passed away peacefully at Conestoga View on Thursday, February 5, 2015.Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Howard Samuel and Clara Brown McCummings.
Helen retired from the Solanco School District where she was employed in food service for many years.
Helen's life centered around her church, Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, where she was a very active lifetime member. She served as organist, treasurer, and throughout the years she served in many other capacities where she was needed. She was also active with the Robert Fulton Fire Company Auxiliary.
Her enjoyments included cross stitching, flowers and bird watching.
Helen will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving her are a sister Dorothy E. Bouder of Stevens; and 4 nephews, Brian Bouder, Jason (J.C.) Bouder, Edward Hambleton, and Ira Hambleton, Jr.
A graveside service will be held at Mt. Zion United Methodist Cemetery, 1530 Slate Hill Road, Peach Bottom, PA on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 11:00AM with Pastor Cheryl Zegers officiating.Immediately following the graveside service, there will be an informal memorial service in Mt.
