Helen I. Herr

Helen I. Herr, 90, of Pequea, PA died at her residence on Friday, January 13, 2017.She was the widow of John C. Herr who died April 21, 2005.Born in Lancaster she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Mabel Murr Trimble.
Helen was a homemaker and enjoyed a lifelong love of sewing, doing sewing projects for many people over the years. She also did chair caning.She was an active volunteer and member of Rawlinsville United Methodist Church and a member of West Willow Senior Citizens. She also volunteered at Lancaster Regional Hospital and the Rawlinsville Fire Company.
Surviving her are 5 children, Joan L. Herr of Pequea, Jacquelyn C. (Ronald) Martin of Pequea,
John C. Jr. (Audrey) Herr of Pequea, Judith A. (Douglas) Duke of Holtwood, Jill (Steven) Kellenberger of Holtwood; 16 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; a brother Jere (Marion) Trimble of Lancaster..
Helen was preceded in death by a daughter Janet E. Walter.
Funeral services will be held at Rawlinsville United Methodist Church, 1043 Truce Road, Holtwood, PA on Friday, Jan. 20, 2017 at 11:00AM with Rev. Arthur Rettew officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Viewings will be held at Reynolds Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017 from 6:30PM – 8:30PM and again at the church on Friday from 10:00AM until the time of service.
