Hazel V. Wood

Hazel V. Wood, age 86 of Parkesburg, PA, passed away at her home on Saturday, August 29, 2026. She was the wife of the late David L. Wood, Sr., who passed away on September 20, 2021. She was born in Washington County, Virginia, daughter of the late Paul Lee Barlow & Ella Mae Doss.

In the past she attended Gateway Church of Parkesburg. Hazel was a homemaker and also in the past had worked as a school aide at the Octorara Elementary School and also at Martin's Grocery Store of Elverson. She enjoyed watching softball, going to the beach, taking car rides and most of all she loved spending time with her family. Surviving are 3 children: Robin wife of Garry Peace of New Providence, Tina wife of Gene Beachy of Peach Bottom, Charles Wood at home, 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren, 3 siblings: Mabel wife of Donald McCormick of Narvon, Willard Barlow of Tennessee, Delores wife of Michael Zander of Paradise. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Robert, Glen & Johnny Ray Barlow. 

Services will be at the convenience of the family.
