Harwin "Joe" Stauffer, Jr., age 82 of New Holland, formerly of Narvon, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 5, 2024. He was the husband of Phyllis Booth Stauffer for 31 years. Joe was the son of the late Harwin L. and Dorthy Lammey Stauffer born in Elverson, PA.  He was a graduate of Twin Valley High School and a member of St. Stephen Reformed Church.

He was a welder by trade for 50 plus years. He was a dedicated employee, working his way to becoming the East Coast supervisor for Fabricated Metals and later Flo Bin Rentals.  He was a "handyman" and whatever he did, it was done with pride and perfection.  Joe traveled for his job and he and Phyllis enjoyed many road trips across the U.S., visiting 49 of the 50 states.  Many of their times together were on or near the water.  Family was very important, and he was always there for the special occasions.  In addition to boating and fishing, Joe also enjoyed motorcycles and learning to fly.

Surviving besides his wife is a daughter Mary Louise wife of Douglas Wilczek of Lancaster, 6 grandchildren: Tyler M. Wilczek, Emily C. Wilczek, B.J. Stauffer, Joseph husband of Bobbi Stauffer, George Stauffer (Fiancée Amy), and Desiree Cleveland, 2 step children: Dana G. wife of Gary Snyder, Joel D. husband of Donna Brookmyer, 6 step grandchildren: Adam husband of Kara Snyder, Erin Snyder, Cory husband of Alyssa Snyder, Chelsea wife of Robert Reed, Chase husband of Raynie Brookmyer, Charlee Janssen (Fiancé Travis). 4 siblings: Virginia wife of Emiliano Lebron of Chadds Ford, Jake husband of Kerri Stauffer of Coatesville, John Stauffer of Honey Brook, and Debbie Riehl of New Holland.

Joe was preceded in death by a son: Joseph George Stauffer, 6 Siblings: James, Jack, Jesse, Phoebe, Darlene, Clara, and a granddaughter Tabitha Cleveland.

A funeral service will take place from St. Stephen Reformed Church, 249 E. Main St., New Holland, PA 17557 on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 11 a.m with a viewing from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Bellevue Presbyterian Cemetery, 810 Newport Ave, Gap PA 17527, at 2:30 p.m. Dr. Andrew DiNardo will be officiating.
