Harold J. Glass

Harold J. Glass, 84, of Marticville Road, Lancaster, PA died Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Hospice and Community Care, Mt. Joy, PA.He was the husband of Ruth V. Martin Glass. Born in Kirkwood, he was the son of the late Harold and Margaret A. Hammaker Glass.
A Vietnam War veteran, Harold spent a 20 year career in the US Air Force.Following his military career, he worked for Lancaster Leaf for 23 years as a mechanic.
He enjoyed working on genealogy and the family tree, doing yard work, going on long Sunday drives, and in his younger years, working on cars.
Surviving beside his wife Ruth are two daughters, Barbara A. Glass of Lancaster, Brenda E. (Charles) Wilson of Manheim; 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; and 3 siblings, Shirley E. Kolb, Beverly (Clyde) Bleacher, Douglas (Doris) Glass.
He was preceded in death by a son, William Bryant Glass and a sister Pearl Ransbottom.
Funeral services will be held at Reynolds Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in New Danville Mennonite Cemetery.
