Gloria J. Rintz, age 78, formerly of Eden Road, Quarryville, PA passed away of natural causes at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community on Thursday, November 28, 2024.  Leaving her earthly home for the heavenly kingdom and looking forward to seeing Jesus.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Mary (Bishop) Rintz. Gloria is survived by her sister, Nancy L. Rintz of Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community.

Gloria graduated from Solanco High School in 1964.  She was a member of Mt. Eden Lutheran Church.

She retired from Ford new Holland after 36 years of employment.  She was the first female sales representative for the company, spending many years in West Virginia, selling farm equipment, and earning many trips for her sales performance.

Gloria never married due to the love of her life passed away before they were united. She loved nature and enjoyed adventure by snowmobiling, snow skiing, and horseback riding.  She traveled to all 50 United States.  She camped in the back county in Alaska, waded in the Artic Ocean, and flew into a remote lodge in Manitoba in winter to see the polar bears on the Hudson Bay.

Gloria's motto to live by was: Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO, what a ride."

A memorial service will be held at Mt. Eden Lutheran Church, 1241 May Post Office Road, Quarryville, PA on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 11:00AM with Reverend Margaret Rohnacher and Pastor Duane Bartrug officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until the time of service. Please omit flowers.  Contributions may be made in Gloria's memory to Mt.
