Gloria Hilton

V. Gloria Hilton, age 91, formerly of Christiana, went home to meet Jesus face to face on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. She was the wife of the late Carroll L. "Tim" Hilton. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Harold R. and Vivian I. Reynolds Long. Gloria was an active past member of the Christiana United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the choir, lay speaker, past president of the Methodist Women's group, worship chairperson, Sunday School teacher, attended the Alpha Ministries and was involved in various other committees. Gloria worked at the former Action Manufacturing Company, Atglen, Penguin Industries, Parkesburg, Keystone Mushroom Growers, Pomeroy, and Denny Tag Co., West Chester. She was also involved with her community as a member of the Moore Memorial Friends of the Library, Christiana. Gloria had a bubbly personality and sunny disposition. She enjoyed time spent with family, friends and her cat. She was an avid reader and enjoyed collecting movies. Her love for the Lord was known by all. Her faith was the most important thing to her. She is survived by her "adopted family" Kathy and Doug Greig and their children Kate Grimm, Haley Mast, Grace Greig, 4 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other extended family.

There will be a memorial service on Monday, October 11th at 11 a.m. at Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana, with Pastor Gary Jacabella officiating.
