Gloria Brown Barker, age 98, passed away at the Brethren Village of Lititz on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. She was the wife of the late Robert W. Brown, Sr., who passed away in 1981 and the late Verne F. Barker, Sr., who passed away in 2015. She was born in Paradise, daughter of the late William & Rosanna Armor Feister. She was a member of Grandview Church of Lancaster. She graduated from the former Paradise High School class of 1944. In the past she was the Activities Director at Willow Valley. Gloria enjoyed playing pinochle, going to the bay and the mountains, being around people and playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In the past she was a member of the Mary Ferree Society and Eastern Star. Surviving are 2 children: Cindi B. wife of Bob D. Borzok of Wellsboro, PA, Robert W. Jr. husband of Barb S. Brown of Lititz, stepson Verne husband of Linda Barker of Michigan, 3 grandchildren: Andy husband of Maegen Borzok, Alex husband of Stephenie Borzok, Leann wife of Ron Newswanger, 4 great grandchildren: Declan, Piper, Simon & Dezarae, great great grandson Kai, 2 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren. She was the last of her remaining 16 siblings. A memorial service will take place at the Shivery Funeral Home, 3214 Lincoln Highway East, Paradise, PA, on Friday, October 24th at 11 a.m. with a time to visit with the family from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Pastor Jane Dutton will be officiating. Interment will take place prior to the memorial service in the St. John's Methodist Cemetery.
