Gladys H. Owen

Gladys H. Owen, 88, of Quarryville PA, formerly of Willow Street, passed away on July 21, 2015.She was the wife of Joseph K.Owen, with whom she celebrated 17 years of marriage. Her first husband, Harold L. Rineer, passed away in 1995.
Gladys' last years of employment had been as a secretary with the former Bank of Lancaster County.Previously she had also worked for many years for John F. Steinman.
Born in Rawlinsville, PA, a daughter of the late David H. and Lillie Barr Herr.
Gladys was a member of Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church.She was a 1944 graduate of Manor High School.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 3 children; Cynthia R. Gehr (Thomas), Drumore, Dennis H. Rineer (Deborah), West Lampeter Twp.,Jeffrey A. Rineer, Sr. (Desiree), Millersville, 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, step children: Kathi Mable, Leola, Clifford Owen, Conestoga, Kimberly Wilson, Pequea, Kay Risser, Washington Boro, 11 step grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren.She was predeceased by a step son, J. Craig Owen.
A funeral service will be held at Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church, 673 Martic Heights Drive, Pequea,, PAon Sunday, July 26, 2015 at 2:30 PM. with pastor Chandler Evans officiating.A viewing will be held at the church on Sunday prior to the service from 1-2:30 PM.Burial will be in the Mt Nebo Methodist Cemetery.
