George R.
Parry
September 26, 1945 – August 21, 2025
George R. Parry, age 79, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Lancaster General Hospital.
George led a life characterized by his deep love for others, his faith, and his generous spirit. He was devoted to his friends and found joy in attending auctions, especially flower auctions, and sharing his unique finds.
As a custom home builder in Bucks County, George crafted beautiful homes that brought happiness to many families. His dedication to the industry was evident in his service as president of the Home Builders Association, a role he cherished.
Beyond his professional life, George's infectious joy and love for Jesus touched everyone he met. He was a man of prayer, particularly concerned for those facing physical struggles, and he offered comfort and prayer for them. His affection for children was well known; he delighted in gifting them with candy and small presents around Christmas. In essence, George was a man who loved people, loved Jesus, and loved to give.
George is survived by a son, Andrew Parry of San Diego, CA, and granddaughter, Dakota. George was preceded in death by his father Earl and mother Anna (Jones) Parry and five siblings James, Ella, Marie, Charles and John.
George was originally from Bucks County where he graduated and operated his business for many years and moved to the Lancaster area 30 or so years ago, but never lost his connections to his home area of Bucks County.
Funeral service will be on Thursday, August 28, at Andrews Bridge Christian Fellowship, 1873 Georgetown Road, Christiana at 11 a.m. with a viewing from 9:30 until time of service. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. A luncheon will follow at 1:00 PM at Dutch-Way Restaurant 365 Route 41, Gap, Pa 17527
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in George's name to Andrews Bridge Christian Fellowship.
George's legacy is one of strong character, deep love for his people, and a zest for life. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
We extend heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nursing staff in the of LGH Penn Medicine Hospital for their dedicated around-the-clock care during his final days!
