George B. Harman

George B. Harman, age 73 of Christiana, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the Lancaster General Hospital.  He was the husband of Laurie Ladley Harman with whom he celebrated 43 years of marriage.  Born in Hammonton, NJ, he was the son of the late George F. and Phyllis Megargel Harman.  George was a member of Parkesburg Methodist Church.  He worked as a truck driver, and then for McComsey Builders where he retired.  After his retirement, he provided transportation to the Amish community.  In his free time, he loved bowling, playing darts, woodworking, fishing, watching the Phillies and Eagles, and making soup for his neighbors and Legion benefits.  Surviving besides his wife are 2 daughters: Tatum, wife of Henry Hershey of Parkesburg, and Tish, wife of Jeremy Calla of Chester Springs, 5 grandchildren, and 2 sisters: Valerie, wife of Raymond Wessner of Quarryville, and Vanessa, wife of Rande Canan of Cochranville.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Scott L. Harman.  Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
