Frederick B. Anderson

Frederick B. Anderson, age 91 of Coatesville, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020, at Harrison House of Chester County.  He was the husband of the late Virginia Ettien Anderson who passed away on September 11, 2019.  Born in Prospect Park, PA, he was the son of the late Grant and Catherine Loercher Anderson. Fred would often share the love of Jesus with those around him as he cared deeply for others. For many years Fred attended St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Ridley Park where he was very involved with their evangelistic outreach.  When he and his wife moved to Chester County they attended East Brandywine Baptist Church where he continued to be involved with the evangelistic team.  He honorably served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.  In his free time, Fred loved spending time with family, watching the Philadelphia Eagles, golfing, playing horseshoes, bowling, and in his later years, Wii bowling at Harrison House.  He is survived by 5 children: Frederick Anderson of Coatesville, Mark Anderson of Quarryville, Lisa wife of Michael Murray of Coatesville, Lori wife of Todd Boldt of Christiana, and Richard Anderson husband of Juan of Bucerias, Mexico, 7 grandchildren, and 2 sisters: Lorraine Mayton of New Mexico and Ruth Wigginton of Ridley Park, PA.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Grant Anderson. A private interment will take place in the Fairview Cemetery.  A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Fred's honor to Gideons International, c/o East Brandywine Baptist Church, 999 Horseshoe Pike, Downingtown, PA 19335.
