Fred Kerwin Geesey, 65, of Emi Lane, Manheim, died Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family following a courageous battle with lymphoma. He was the husband of Wanda Byler Delp Geesey.Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Joseph Kurtz and Pearl Nonannmocher Geesey.
Employed as a general superintendent, he had been employed by Horst Construction for 40 years.He was a member of Mellinger Mennonite Church.
Fred especially enjoyed going to the cabin, fishing, hunting, and his grandkids.
Surviving beside his wife Wanda are 4 children, Doug Geesey of Mechanicsburg, Kurt (Heather) Geesey of New Danville, Kyle (Rachelle)Geesey of New Danville, and Lauren Geesey of Mt. Joy; 3 step children, Tracy (Jonathan) Kilheffer of East Petersburg, Sharon (Marc) Denlinger of Manheim, Joshua (Megan) Delp of Manheim; 11 grandchildren; 2 siblings, Jeff (Bev) Campbell of Oak Harbor, WA, and Stan (Nancy) Geesey of Willow Street.
Fred was preceded in death by his first wife Judy M. Clymer Geesey who died in 2001.
Funeral services will be held at Mellinger Mennonite Church, 1916 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA on Monday, Oct. 1, 2018 at 11:00AM with Pastors Leon H. Oberholtzer and Alan Miller officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewings will be held at the church on Sunday from 6:00-8:00PM and again on Monday from 10:00AM until the time of service.
