Evelyn Fisher

Evelyn Jones Fisher, age 89, of Gap, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at home. She was the wife of the late Alvin B. Fisher. Born in Dupont, she was the daughter of the late Thomas M. and  Helen Golya Jones. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pequea where her and Alvin had served in various ways over the years.  Evelyn was a homemaker and in her earlier years worked as a seamstress.  Besides caring for her family, Evelyn enjoyed gardening, canning, flowers, and puzzles Surviving are 2 children: Duane Fisher (Shelly) and Brenda Fogle (Clint), 3 grandchildren: Justin Fisher (Emily), Allan Simms (Brittany), Kyle Mastriania (Megan), a brother, Robert Jones (Liz), and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Fisher, late husband of Pam, 4 sisters: Jane, Genevieve, Blodwyn, and Geraldine, 2 brothers: Thomas and Robert, and a granddaughter Stephanie. A funeral service will take place from First Baptist Church of Pequea, 6062 Old Philadelphia Pike, Gap, PA 17527 on Friday, August 29th at 3 p.m. with a viewing from 2 p.m. until the time of service. Pastor Patrick Audia will be officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Pequea at the address above.
