Evelyn L. Bennett

Evelyn L. Bennett, age 88 of Cochranville, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 19, 2026. She was the loving wife of the late Albert Bennett who passed away in 2013 after 63 years of marriage. Born in Hickory, NC, she was the daughter of the late Beverly and Mamie Shull Shull. She was the mother of 2 daughters; Alice, wife of Richard Hostetter of Gap, PA, and Audrey, wife of William Salsbury of Lancaster, PA, a grandmother of 7, a great-grandmother of 19, a great-great-grandmother of 5, and a sister to 1 surviving brother, Carroll Lee Shull of Hildebran, NC. Evelyn was preceded in death by 6 siblings, Eula Mae L. Brown, Houston L. Shull, Clifford B. Shull, Catherine Mink, Pauline E. Parsons and Gladys L. Flowers. Evelyn was a former charter member of Rising Sun Missionary Baptist Church in Rising Sun, MD. She was employed at Harrison House of Christiana, PA, for almost 30 years. Nothing made her happier than holding a new grand baby or a little puppy. She loved watching scary movies and listening to her classic southern music while enjoying a bowl of ice cream. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Rising Sun, MD.
