Ethel M. Coffman, 93, of Holtwood died Thursday, October 29, 2015, at Conestoga View. Born in Lancaster, the daughter of the late Charles E. Sr. and Ethel M. Larner Brooks, she was the wife of the late H. Marshall Coffman who died in August, 2006.

A 1939 graduate of East Lampeter High School, Ethel was an avid reader and collector of books. She enjoyed arts and crafts, especially painting Santas. Ethel loved her husband and family, the family farm, cats, and a good get-together.

She is survived by a son, Hugh M., husband of Patricia L. Coffman, Brickerville; three daughters, Kathleen M., wife of Paul E. Wissler Sr., Holtwood, Sandra L. Howe (the late Robert L.), Brunnerville, and Alice C., wife of Clair M. Hess, Holtwood. Also surviving are five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a step great great grandson. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles E. Brooks, Jr.

Services will be held at 2 PM Monday, November 2, 2015, at Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State St., Quarryville, with Pastor Paul L. Hess officiating. Interment will be in Zeltenreich UCC Cemetery, 752 Hollander Rd., New Holland. A closed-casket visitation will take place from 1 PM until the time of the service.
