Ernest O. Heitmueller

Ernest O. Heitmueller, 79, of New Providence PA, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at his home.He was the husband of Merle Stumpf Heitmueller.They had celebrated 59 years of marriage.
Ernie had worked for over 40 years as a repair technician for the former Monroe Office Equipment Co., Lancaster.He had served proudly in the US Army.An avid ski enthusiast, Ernie was still skiing, and was a member of the Lancaster Ski Club.He was also a member of the Midwest Tool Association.He was a member of Grace Community Church, Willow Street.
Loved by his many nieces and nephews, he was their "Sports Dad", always involved in their activities. He enjoyed gardening and his tools.
Born in Conestoga PA, a son of the late Walter and Bertha Reiff Heitmueller
He is survived by his wife Merle, his sister Joanne Zimmerman, and 35 nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by siblings, Karl, Walter, and Richard Heitmueller, Eugene Reiff, Kate Dodds, Elsa Schlembaker, Margaret Leed and Rose Good.
Friends are invited to attend funeral services at Reynolds Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 144 East State Street, Quarryville, on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at 11:30 AM. With Pastor Michael Sigman officiating.Interment will be in the Quarryville Cemetery.Viewing will be held from 10-11:30 AM.
