Erma Augsburger Smoker Kennel, age 86, went to her heavenly home on Monday, February 9, 2026.  Born in Gordonville on December 3, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Elmer & Barbara Augsburger Smoker.  She was a member of Millwood Mennonite Church of Gap.  Erma's love besides her family, included volunteering for Fairmount Homes, MCC, Whitehorse Fire Company, Country Gift & Thrift and Paradise Meals On Wheels.  She was preceded in death by her husband Frank A. Kennel with whom she was married over 40 years.  He passed away on July 19, 2017.  She retired from Beiler Brothers Roofing & Siding after 20 years in their office.  She is survived by 4 step children: Glenn L Kennel of Los Angeles, CA, Nancy J. Frank of Danville VA, Harold W.  (Terry Tatad) Kennel of Portland, OR, Evelyn J. (Steve) Wallace of New Holland, 6 step grandchildren, Jonathan Frank,  Caitlin (Quinn) Horvath, Kimberly Wallace and fiancée Lucas Warning,  Benjamin (Brittany) Kennel, Nathan Wallace, Lucy Kennel,  1 step great grandchild Declan Horvath.  siblings:  Martha Smoker, Esther Smoker, Ellen Ranck and Rhoda wife of Raymond Harnish, and brother-in-law Glenn Kunkel. She was preceded in death by 4 siblings:  Verna Smoker, Mary Ann Kauffman, Mildred Kunkel and Lester S. Smoker.

Neighbors and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at the Millwood Mennonite Church, 441 Amish Road, Gap, PA, on Saturday February 14th at 11 a.m., with a time to greet the family following the service.  There will be no public viewing, interment will take place prior to the service in the Millwood Mennonite Cemetery.  Pastor Luke Sensenig will be officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International, P.O.
