Emma Z. Dubble

Emma Z. Dubble, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. She was born in Peach Bottom on June 24, 1933, daughter of the late Allen R. And Elsie Z. Dubble. Emma lived on the family farm in Mechanic Grove, then moved to Willow Street and then onto Willow Valley Retirement Communities. She was a lifetime member of Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren. She retired from Core States Bank, now Wells Fargo Bank. She was an organist and secretary for Zion United Church of Christ in New Providence. Emma enjoyed knitting, reading, embroidery, and music. She was a loving Aunt and friend who always remembered family and friends’ celebrations by sending many greeting cards.

Emma is survived by her niece, Patricia, wife of James Walsh, three nephews: Russell Jr., husband of Linda Adsitt, Allen Adsitt, David Adsitt, and several great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Dorothy Adsitt and three brothers: Clyde Dubble, Joel Dubble, and John Dubble.

The funeral service will be held at Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren, 1392 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville, on Wednesday, October 28, at 11:00am, with a visitation from 10:30 until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren in Emma's memory.
