Elwood G. Sampson

Elwood G. Sampson, 74, formerly of Holtwood, died Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at his home in Willow Street. He is the husband of Margaret Costigan Sampson.Born in Darby, PA he was the son of the late Elwood J. and Elizabeth Sampson.
A US Postal Service retiree, he had been employed in fleet management for 30 years.
A proud veteran, Elwood served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.He was an active member of the Quarryville VFW Post #3575 and the USS Yorktown CV-10 Assn.
Surviving beside his wife are 3 daughters, Margaret Mary (Matthew D.) Konopa, Denise A. (David) Kreitzer, Theresa Marie (Thomas) Weaver; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an identical twin Edward Sampson.
Funeral services will be held at Reynolds Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Wednesday, December13, 2017 at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Bethesda United Methodist Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10:00AM until the time of service.
