Elvin M. Rohrer, Jr.,1/13/1934-12/25/2024, age 90, formerly of Cochranville, passed away at Fairmount Homes on Wednesday, December 25, 2024.  He was the husband of the late Vera Jane (Martin) Rohrer who died November 6, 2018.  Born in Upper Leacock Township, he was the son of the late Elvin M. and Dorothy Kreider Rohrer.  Elvin was a dairy farmer in the Cochranville area.  He was a board member of Atlantic Dairy Co-op, served on several milk promotion committees in PA, the North East Dairy Council, and assisted the Dairy Princess promotion program.  He was a member of Andrew's Bridge Christian Fellowship.  Over the years he served as elder, trustee, Sunday school superintendent and song leader.  Elvin was also active at West Fallowfield Christian School serving as a school board member, secretary, and trustee.  He was a John Deere collector and had his first tractor, he still had his first car, a 1949 Pontiac, until his move to Fairmount Homes.

Elvin is survived by 5 children: Judy A. (James) Diller of Hagerstown, MD, Linda K. (David) Longenecker of New Glarus, WI, Charlene L. (Merle) Ranck of Christiana, Jay E. (June Lehman) Rohrer of Mt. Joy, Gerald E. (Cindy Kreider) Rohrer of Cochranville, 15 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren and half-sister Brenda (Ken) Fisher of Lancaster.  He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Anna (Lefever) Rohrer Ebersol.

The family wishes to thank Fairmount Homes, Ephrata, for the superb care of Elvin over the years he lived there.  He was impressed that they knew his name.

Funeral service will take place at Stumptown Mennonite Church, 2813 Stumptown Road, Bird-in-Hand on Tuesday, December 31st at 11 a.m. with a viewing from 10 until time of service.  Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.   In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Mennonite Disaster Service, 583 Airport Road, Lititz, PA 17543 or West Fallowfield Christian School, PO Box 279, Atglen, PA  19310.
