Elmer Phillips

Elmer Phillips, age 88 of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Homestead Village.  He was the loving husband of Gloria J. Braas Phillips for nearly 60 years.  Born in Bart Township, he was the son of the late Burris Zeb and Esther Stuart Phillips.  Elmer worked at Strasburg Pallet for many years.  In his free time he loved watching NASCAR and traveling with Gloria.  Surviving besides his wife is a sister; Barbara A. Fisher of Paradise and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by 9 brothers: Thelmas James "TJ," Gwyn, Robert, Stuart, Franklin, Truby, William, Dale and Sherwood.  A graveside service and viewing will be held at Middle Octorara Presbyterian Cemetery on Friday, August 15th at 2 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Elmer's honor to Hospice and Community Care, P.O.
