Elmer K. Glick, age 63 of Amherst, VA, passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.  Born in Leola, he was the son of the late Ephraim J. and Fannie King Glick.  He worked a self employed farrier. Elmer loved the outdoors.  He especially loved hunting and participating in farrier competitions.  He was a member of the American Farriers Association, World Champion Blacksmiths and Virginia Horseshoers Association.  Surviving besides his friend Cindy are 6 siblings; Alvin J., husband of Sarah Stoltzfus Glick, Elam R., husband of Anna Kauffman Glick, both of KY, Reuben K., husband of Priscilla Beiler Glick of IN, Lloyd J., husband of Anna Mary Esch Glick of Bird-in-Hand, Lydia Mae, wife of Leon Stoltzfus of Leola, Sylvan K. Glick of Amherst, VA, and 8 step-siblings; Mark, Andrew, Ben, Alvin, Martha, Mary Anne, Sadie Mae and Catherine.  He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Christian, Leon David and Henry.  A memorial service will take place at Stumptown Mennonite Church, 2813 Stumptown Road, Bird in Hand, on Friday, December 12th at 10 a.m.  Pastor Manny King will be officiating.  There will be a viewing time at Shivery Funeral Home, 3214 Lincoln Highway East, Paradise, on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Myers Amish Cemetery prior to the memorial service.
