Elinor L. Rudy age 96, of Willow Valley Square, Lancaster, PA passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. She was the wife of the late Harold E. Rudy, Jr. who died May 8, 2015.  Born in West Lampeter Township she was the daughter of the late J. Warren and Blanche Harsh Herr.

Earlier in her life she worked for the former Hamilton Watch Company and then was employed part time for 37 years by the Lampeter Strasburg School District in the food service department.

Elinor joined First Presbyterian Church of Strasburg at the age of 12, and was the longest active member, 84 years, serving as Deacon, singing in the church choir, and participating with Martha Circle.  She also belonged to Lancaster County Farm Women Society #22.

Surviving her is a son, Robert A. (Deborah) Rudy of Winter Haven, FL.; and a sister Emily Groff of Dushore.  She was preceded in death by her son Steve D. Rudy; a brother Hebron H. Herr; and a sister Esther Shaubach.

Funeral Services will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Strasburg, 101 South Decatur Street, Strasburg, PA on Monday, January 27, 2025 at 11:00AM. A viewing will be held from 10:00AM until the time of service. Private interment will follow in Willow Street Mennonite Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
