Eli S. Esh, age 84 of Ronks, PA, surrounded by his wife, family, and grandchildren he passed away peacefully at the Lancaster General Hospital on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.  Born on January 29, 1941, Eli was the son of the late Amos and Leah Smucker Esh. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He dedicated his life to his faith in God and his beloved wife and family. He worked as a farmer and later at a woodworking shop.

He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and was a great storyteller. He was happiest when surrounded with his loved ones.

He is survived by his wife Rachel of 62 years and his children Melvin F. husband of (Barbie Zook) Esh of Ronks, Amos F. husband of (Heather Kelley) Esh of Lancaster, Miriam wife of (Amos Lantz) of Gap, Susanna wife of (Lynn Martin) of East Earl. He has 10 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by two brothers Daniel Esh and Melvin Esh.

The viewing  will be held at 637- A Georgetown Road, Ronks, PA. The times are Thursday from 4:00 till 9:00 and Friday from 10:00 a.m. till 9:00 p.m. The funeral will be at the same location on Saturday, August 2nd at 10:00 a.m. daylight savings time.  Interment will be in the Gordonville Amish Cemetery.

As a family, we rejoice in the home-going of our dear husband, father, and grandfather! He will be greatly missed!
