Elaine Y. Welk

Elaine Y. Welk, age 81 of Lancaster, PA, passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.  She was born in East Lampeter Township, daughter of the late Maurice S. & Sara Graybill Welk.  In the past she attended the Middle Octorara Presbyterian Church.  Formerly, she worked at the Occupational Development Center of Lancaster.  Elaine loved music, going to Longs Park to watch the ducks, babies, looking at books, coloring and root beer.  Surviving are 2 sisters:  Erma Strawser of New Providence, Marlene Fromm of Christiana and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by 5 siblings:  Virginia Welk, Irene Graham, Alta Strawser, Dale and Maurice Welk.

Funeral service will take place from Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana, PA, on Tuesday, November 4th at 11 a.m. with a viewing time from 10 a.m. until time of service.  Pastor John Barlow will be officiating.  Interment will be in the Quarryville Cemetery.
