Edwin C. Metzger

Edwin C. Metzger, 80, of Quarryville, PA, born March 4, 1936, went to be with the Lord on March 16, 2016.He was the husband of the late Marjorie Ulmer Metzger.
Born in York PA, a son of the late Mahlon and Mildred Barr Metzger.
Ed had proudly served in the US Marine Corp from 1953-1957.He was a member of Local 158 Heavy Highway Construction Workers, where he served as business agent and president for 15 years.He retired in 1999.
He is survived by 2 children: Kerri McVey (James R.), Edwin E. Metzger (Karen), both New Providence, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a sister, Cheryl Thatcher, Lancaster.He was predeceased by siblings: Ronald J. Metzger, Gloria Ann Boerger, and Elaine Pierce.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at New Providence Church of God, 269 Cinder Road, New Providence on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at 11:00 AM. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service from 10-11:00 AM at the church. Private Interment.
