Edward F. Fritz

Edward F. Fritz, 74, of Quarryville, PA, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 5, 2015 at Lancaster General Hospital.
Ed was born, September 12, 1940 in Lancaster, PA, a son of the late Edward M. and Janet Kegel Fritz.
Ed was a graduate of St. Anthony of Padua grade school, Lancaster Catholic High School, and St. Joseph's University, Philadelphia, PA where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry.
Ed worked for RCA in the color tube division; he then formed a partnership with Ed Heltshe operating E & E Landscaping.He was the head golf professional at Tanglewood Manor Golf Club for more than 20 years.He ended his working career with the former Bowers Jewelry Store, Quarryville.
Ed loved golf, thorough bred horse racing, and NASCAR.
He is survived by a sister, Elizabeth A. Moore of Madison, WI, brother, Robert A. Fritz, husband of Alberta M., Lancaster, as well as his nephew Kent and niece Kelly.
A devout catholic, Ed was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Quarryville, PA, where he had served as an usher for many years.
A mass of Christian burial will take place at St Catherine of Siena Church, 955 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville, PA on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 10:30 AM with Reverend Robert Yohe as celebrant.Visitation will be held at the church from 10-10:30 AM.Burial in St Catherine of Siena Catholic Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Catherine of Siena Church.Arrangements entrusted to Reynolds Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Quarryville, PA. www.reynoldsfuneralhome.net
