Earl C. "Blinky" Skiles, age 92 of Masonic Village, formally of Kinzers, passed away on July 27, 2022. He was the husband of the late Iris Skiles. He was born and raised in Westwood, son of the late Brisben and Kathrine Chestnut Skiles. He was educated in Westwood and Coatesville School District. He lived in the area all his life. He served in the US military from 1949 until 1952. He was employed by National Rolling Mills Co. in Malvern for 30 years and retired as their transportation manager. He loved sports, and enjoyed playing golf with his many friends. He was a life member of the Westwood Fire Company and the Eastern Lancaster County Rod and Gun Club. He was a long time member of the American Legion in Christiana and the Loyal Order of Moose in Coatesville. He was a life member of Brandywine Goddard Masonic Lodge #383 in Coatesville and served as its presiding officer. He also served as the presiding officer of the 3 York Rite Lodges in the area and was awarded the Knight York Cross of Honor in Philadelphia and the Red Cross of Constantine in Allentown. He was most recently awarded the Knights Templar Cross of Honor. Earl was also a member of Limeville Methodist Church. Surviving are 3 children; Jeffrey husband of Lisa Skiles, Mark Skiles, and Lisa wife of Rusty Hornberger all of Kinzers, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Thelma Taylor of Westwood. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Forsythe-Guesippi, and 6 siblings.
Funeral Service will take place from Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street Christiana, on Tuesday, August 2nd, at 11:15 a.m. with Pastor Mark Beideman officiating. There will be a viewing from 10-11 a.m. A Masonic Service will be held from 11-11:15 a.m. Interment will follow the service in the Kinzers Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607
