E. Sidney Stauffer

E. Sidney Stauffer, age 81 of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. She was the wife of the late James M. Stauffer who died on November 18, 2018. Sidney was born in Lancaster, daughter to the late Evan F. and Kathryn Witmer Ammon. She attended Octorara High School, Class of 1959, and graduated Millersville University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. She went on to teach English as a Second Language to elementary students at Fritz Elementary School in the Conestoga Valley School District.  She enjoyed sewing, counted cross stitch, knitting, and dancing to big band music with her late husband Jim. She is survived by a daughter, Laticia Stauffer, wife of Jon Goldberg, of Philadelphia, and a grandson, Thomas Goldberg. A graveside service will take place at Sadsbury Friends Burial Grounds, 1089 Simmontown Road, Gap PA 17527, on Saturday, December 17th at 10am. There will be a brief viewing from 9:45am to 10am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grandview Church, 888 Pleasure Road, Lancaster PA 17601.
