"Dusty" Grove
June 7, 1954 – June 17, 2025
Duston B. "Dusty" Grove, age 71 of North Hopewell Township, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. He was the husband of Cindy J. (Evans) Grove for 52 years. He was born in York, son of the late Bruce H and Donalene W. (Rineholt) Grove. He was a member of the Winterstown United Methodist Church, where he served as the very first acolyte. He enjoyed Farming, Camping, Hunting, socializing, volunteering, being a part of everyone's life and sharing his wealth of knowledge with anyone who wanted to listen. Dusty was a farmer for over 60 years to include crops and hogs. Dusty served as North Hopewell Township Supervisor for 18 years. He was also the longest serving active member of the North Hopewell-Winterstown Vol. Fire Company for over 55 years and held a chief officer position for over 40 of those years. Dusty enjoyed trips to the mountains for leisure time as well as hunting and fishing. He enjoyed trips to Collinsville for soft serve raspberry ice cream and lottery tickets from Rutters.
Surviving besides his wife are three children: Lexi L. wife of Ryan Holmes of New Jersey., Mindy J. Grove, wife of Brian Luzier of North Hopewell Township, Ben J. husband of Jeri-Lyn Grove of North Hopewell, seven grandchildren: Jesse Hurley and companion Jasmine Tran, Dom Francisco and companion Jamie Theodore, Starr Miller and companion Dylan Armstrong, Jayda Francisco and husband Jacob Garrity, Hunter Holmes, Landen Grove and Olivia Grove, four great grandchildren: Kinsley Hurley, Grayson Albright, Emmy Hurley and Livvy Hurley, and four siblings: Danny R. husband of Lynn Grove of York, Robin A. wife of Butch Frey of North Hopewell Township, Todd husband of Susan Grove of Stewartstown, and Dr. Penny D. Grove wife of Stephen Stambaugh of North Hopewell Township as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and many friends that are considered family (you know who you are) and Scarlett Mae.
Funeral service will take place from Winterstown United Methodist Church, 12184 Winterstown Road, Felton, PA 17322, on Saturday, June 21st at 11 AM with a viewing from 9-11am. Interment will be in the Winterstown United Brethren Cemetery immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in honor of Dusty, to the North Hopewell-Winterstown fire company with checks payable to: N.H.W.V.F.C. and mailed to 12246 Winterstown Rd., Felton, PA, 17322.
